It ought to be a crime
to pen a poem without a rhyme

Foreshadowing, imagery
Metaphors and symmetry

A stanza or too is fine
But an entire poem without a rhyme, is bound
To dissatisfy; to disappoint;
all that passion, and angst; unrequited love, unwanted loss
all dressed in khakis and Crocs
It ain't art just because it's disjoint

Gussy it up like a doll
Remember, it shouldn't resemble prose at all
A tux or a gown will do the trick,
Change that rhyme scheme, from A B C D E to A B A B B
That'll help the whole thing stick
