Merry Christmas everyone!!
This Christmas, I got quite a few gifts! Those are the perks of having such a large family, eh? Anywho, some of the highlights were:
- A 4 Terabyte Hard Drive with a USB-USBc Adaptor
- Some headphones
- Hoehner harmonicas in the key of G, B, and C
- A ukelele
- Two pairs of slippers
- A digital watch
I also got a couple other gifts, but I don't exactly remember what they were.
Anywho, now that the humblebrag is over, I suppose it's time for some reflection on what Christmas is really about. If you're a Christian, Christmas is not merely a holiday for vacuous merriment and gaiety, but a time of reflection on the birth and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Christmas meditations
Let it be known, these are the follies of humans: excess, haste; wastefulness; degeneracy; foul thinking.
Through birth we are pure; through life we are corrupt. Only through Faith may we be absolved, and restored to this state of innocence.
May we be raised from infirmity, and through repentance renewed.
Dear Heavenly Father, please purify me, and allow me to hold fast to the sacred ordinances and abide by the proclamations you have endowed us with the knowledge of. Please lift me from this juvenile and profane state of earthly and fleshly desires. Allow me to follow in the footsteps of my elders, and transcend the realm of sin, anger, lust and pride.
Please open the eyes and ears of unbelievers, and make yourself known to every and all beings. Impart wisdom and revelation unto those of us who are steadfast in faith. Give to all men, and to all women, even the confused, what he or she deserves.
Let me be slow, yet not sluggish; let me think deeply, feel deeply, and love piercingly, astonishly, and unflinchingly
I ask these things in the name of the Son. Amen.
